Why a Captilo pilot is different
Most pilots leave data behind with the vendor. This one is engineered so there is none to hand over.
Your evidence never reaches us
Photos, locations and the people in them stay on your team’s phones. Creating a proof sends Captilo fingerprints and a signature, not the photo. There is no Captilo photo archive to breach, subpoena or delete.
Even team work stays private
Smart Requests let you ask for, deliver and confirm photos as a team. Team names, member names, tasks, notes and the thumbnails your team delivers are encrypted end to end on the phones. Captilo stores them only as ciphertext it cannot read.
No accounts, no email addresses
People join your organisation by typing a code in the app. Each phone’s identity is a 12-word recovery phrase that stays on the phone. We never ask your people for a name or an email address.
Nothing to unwind
The pilot ends on its own date. There is no data at Captilo to migrate or delete, and every proof your team made stays verifiable, even without Captilo.

How the pilot runs
- 1. A short call
- Tell us what your team needs to document. We set up a Business organisation with an end date.
- 2. One code
- You receive your organisation code by email and pass it on to your people.
- 3. Join in the app
- Each person types the code in Hub → Organisation. Their captures spend the shared pool, not their own credits.
- 4. Real work
- Your team captures in the field and shares PDF certificates in the channels it already uses.
- 5. Decide
- After two months you decide with real certificates in hand. If a project is still running, we extend once by a month.
Questions about the pilot
Do we need a data processing agreement?
Not for your photos or your team’s content: Captilo never receives them in readable form. If your organisation still wants one for the pseudonymous account data, we provide the EU standard contractual clauses (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/915) free of charge.
What happens when the pilot ends?
The organisation ends on its end date and its members return to their own plans. Nothing needs to be migrated or deleted, and every certificate your team made stays verifiable.
What does a proof show, and what not?
A proof shows when, where and on which device a photo was captured, that the capture was authorized on that device, and that the file has not changed since. It does not show who took it, and it does not show that the scene itself is true: a photographed screen still gets a valid proof. Screen recapture is checked and noted on the certificate.
Which phones does the pilot need?
Android phones. The iOS app is coming soon.
